Artrageous is by the Eclipse award Champion (1999) and track record setting sprinter, Artax (winnings $686,000) out of the accomplished Aylsheba ($6.679 mil) mare Treize. Treize is the dam of Brancusi, 3rd in the Bluegrass Stake before running in the 2003 Kentucky Derby. Artrageous raced late 2005 and early 2006 until injury forced retirement. Winner of $17,155. “Arty” saw his first jump in 12/2006 and started his eventing career in March 2007 at Rocking Horse where he and Lennea placed 6th with a clear cross country round 30 seconds under optimum time in Open Beginner Novice A. June at Poplar Place, 6th with both CC and stadium clear. In October, Arty took first place Sport Horse in Hand at the Canterbury Hunter show and won the Championship 2’9” jumper division.

We just love this stallion and cannot say enough about his athleticism, mind and marvelous disposition. When he goes to shows, standing in a crowd, no one knows he is a stallion. A quick learner, loving to jump, he especially enjoys his cross country rounds. Arty also loves his “other” job and lives with his harem of mares, all due to foal in 2008.
